A Faithful Presence

Jesus centered. Trauma informed. Missional living.

Co-creating environments of healing and belonging by neighboring well.

We are thrilled to say it’s been three and a half years of ministry here in Austin! As we continue to dream about the future, our approach remains really similar: we build felt safety and trust by showing up again and again for folks who have often been forced to the margins. We work toward equitable systems, elevate the voices of our formerly homeless neighbors, learn from their lived experiences, and listen to the stories of faith that have carried them through.

We believe that being “a faithful presence” is a slow, intentional practice of allowing God to work in and through our lives as we go about our days. We create environments that are welcoming to all and centered on the ways of Jesus.

We are rooted in hope, sustained by the Spirit, and overwhelmed by the imago dei we see in every one of our neighbors.

We break bread. We pour coffee.

We share stories. We share ourselves.

We celebrate sobriety. We grieve great loss.

We pray for healing. We practice hospitality.

We give and receive and believe that Love holds us all together.

"Hope is subversive precisely because it dares to admit that all is not as it should be. And so we are holding out for, working for, creating, prophesying, and living into something better — for the kingdom to come, for oaks of righteousness to tower, for leaves to blossom for the healing of the nations, for swords to be beaten into plowshares, for joy to come in the morning, and for redemption and justice."
