Retreats & Spiritual Direction

Dustin is a trained Spiritual Director, and is available by appointment.

A spiritual director, also referred to as a soul friend, spiritual midwife, or sacred companion, is a hospitable guide and resource as you search for meaning, connection, balance, and a deepening relationship with the divine.

When you meet with Dustin, he will offer gentle questions and a space to notice God’s work in your life, and in turn, you will be better equipped to navigate the twists and turns of the journey, become more self-aware, and reconnect with our Creator.

Some people choose to go through a series of sessions based around a theme. Some possible focus areas are:

  • Enneagram work

Discovering your type, leveraging this tool for transformation, embracing both strengths and rough edges, seeking integration

  • Exploring new spiritual practices Centering prayer, lectio divina, Benedictine “rule of life”, Ignatian Exercises, Prayer of Examen, etc.

  • Discerning a potential transition - (Exploring your story, Identifying your primary discernment pathways, wisdom through cognitive-affective-active balance)

  • Seeking renewal and purpose - (Visual journaling, soul health assessment, stages and phases of the faith journey, building healthy rhythms)

Maybe you sense a longing for something different in your life, or the ways you were taught to grow spiritually feel stale or even toxic. Maybe you are in a season of transition and wish to pursue clarity, discernment, or health. Maybe you are doing relatively fine but want to ensure you are establishing healthy rhythms and practices to live a purposeful and sustainable life.

For these reasons and more, spiritual direction might be the support you need in this season. We’d love to start a conversation about how Dustin can come alongside you. He is a generous listener who has years of experience in sitting with tough questions and elusive answers.
